Denarius. 61 BC, Rome. 4.05 g. 18.20 mm. 3h
Obv. Terminal bust of Mercury right; star above wreath in left field, calyx in right field.
Rev. M•PISO•M•F FRVGI in two lines above secespita and patera; all within laurel wreath.
Crawford 418/2b; RSC Calpurnia 23; Sydenham 825.
An attractive example of this rare and difficult issue. Ligthly toned and struck slightly off center, minor area of weakness on obverse, otherwise good very fine.
