Denarius. 47 BC, Rome. 3.84 g. 17.70 mm. 11h
Obv. Facing mask of Medusa with disheveled hair, coiled serpents at either side of face; L • PLAVTIV[S] below.
Rev. Victory (or winged Aurora) flying right, head slightly left, holding reins and conducting four rearing horses of the sun; PLANCVS below.

An appealing specimen with a light toning. Obverse a little off center, minor area of weakness on reverse, otherwise about extremely fine.
