Description
Denarius. circa 19-18 BC, Spanish (Colonia Caesaraugusta?). 3.61 g. 17.80 mm. 5h
Obv. Head right, wearing oak wreath.
Rev. CAESAR AVGVSTVS, shield inscribed CL•V; S P Q R around, laurel branches flanking.
RIC I 36a; RSC 51; CBN 1333-7 (Nimes).
A lovely example with a nice portrait. Some golden highlights around the devices and a counter-mark on obverse, otherwise superb EF.
