Description
Didrachm. circa 340-334 BC, Halikarnassos. 6.87 g. 19.90 mm. 12h
Obv. Laureate head of Apollo facing three-quarters right, wearing laurel wreath, drapery around neck.
Rev. Zeus Labraundos standing right, holding double-axe (labrys) over right shoulder and lotus-tipped sceptre in left hand; ΠIΞOΔAPOY to right.

A beautiful example of exceptionally fine style. Nice struck with an attractive deep old cabinet toning. A scuff on the nose, otherwise EF.
