Didrachm. 300/280-276 BC, Uncertain in South Italy (Metapontum? or Neapolis?). 6.93 g. 19.90 mm. 4h
Obv. Bearded head of Mars left, wearing crested Corinthian helmet; oak spray behind.
Rev. Head of bridled horse right, ROMANO inscribed on base; stalk of grain behind.

Rare and in a very nice condition for this difficult issue. Wonderful old cabinet tone. A few minor scratches under tone, otherwise very fine.
