Obv. Helmeted head of Roma to right; behind, jug; X below chin.
Rev. SEX•PO FOSTLVS, below, ROMA, she-wolf standing right, head left, suckling Romulus and Remus; behind, shepherd and birds in a fig tree.

A exquisite specimen of this foundation myth type. Rare in this condition and exceptionally complete for the issue. Well centered and well struck, very lightly toned. EF.
