Obv. Head of Liber right, wearing ivy wreath with thyrsus over shoulder.
Rev. Head of Libera left, wearing vine wreath; L•CASSI•Q•F upwards behind.

An attractive specimen, boldly struck, lightly toned. The obverse struck slightly off-centre and with minor weakness, otherwise extremely fine.

This coin is a reference to the legendary Spurius Cassius. An ancestor of the moneyer. He was was three times consul and celebrated two triumphs. During his second consulship (493 BC), he!#!founded a temple for Ceres, Liber and Libera.
